This Friday, we’re giving our collective weekly shout out to our appreciation of simple, yet suggestive animations. This is the new clip for electro artist Sebastien Tellier’s new track and may we say that we like it. It’s hypnotic, imaginative, sexy, yet artistic. No wonder it’s French. Well done Mrzyk and Moriceau for directing our favourite clip of the week. See you Monday y’all!
What’s that saying about walking a mile in someone’s shoes? Well, Sole Digger (the writer behind idigyoursoleman) has travelled all over, documenting the kicks people wear and the reasons they wear them. It’s a rare insight to the way our choice of footwear is not just an expression of our personal style, but our personalities as well. And we’re not just talking about sneaker heads either. Collectors make up just a fraction of this well executed street photo blog. Most are simply people wearing cool shoes in a cool way. Needless to say we dig it.
Now for the really exciting part. Starting next Thursday, Sole Digger will be a special guest weekly contributor to Hype News. Tune in then for his take on the street’s best shoes. For now though, he’s a sneak peak.
In honour of turning up to work after a very relaxing long weekend to find the office completely flooded, we’re going to take a short break from mopping to post this classic from Outkast. After all, no use complaining. At least our homes didn’t get flooded. Better still, we didn’t make anybody’s daughter cry – accidentally or otherwise. But, for the sake of thorough journalism, we should let you know that we have been sweeping water down the stairs for 30 minutes and there’s still around 5mm of coverage on our concrete floor. And our socks are wet. Still, no complaining right?
This Friday we’re in love with bulldogs that snowboard. It’s weird how the Winter Olympics comes along and none us cares at all, but put a pooch on a tiny snowboard and we can’t get enough. Memo to the IOC. More bulldogs. And while you’re at it, less curling.
