Because we are your friends! We’ll never be alone again! The electro drought of 2k10 is officially over this January when our barren ears once again come alive with the sounds of the world’s electro elite raining down at Summadayze 2011. After listening to Erol’s remix of Waters of Nazareth, reminiscing over the first time in your local rave cave, have another look at the lineup. Along with Justice. Erol Alkan. Boys Noize. Chromeo. These guys are damn good. And they’re not even headlining! N*E*R*D, Armand Van Helden, superstar deejay David Guetta and many more are sure to get people all hot and bothered this January.

We have double passes to give away for each of these cities: Melbourne, Gold Coast, Adelaide and Perth!

For a chance to win tell us in 25 words or less what you do to cool down on summer days!

We’re running a super special adidas competition for the next month called “If The Shoe Fits, Keep Them”.

All you have to do is turn up at selected stores with those feet of yours at the designated times. We’ll measure them up and if they match the size of the shoes we’re giving away, you’ll walk off in them.

If you don’t happen to have lucky feet, don’t worry, there’ll be cool surprises in store for you.

Where: Westfield Chatswood (NSW) – Thursday 2nd September @ 7pm
Where: QV Melbourne (VIC) – Friday 3rd September @ 5pm

If you’ve been wondering where French hip hop ingenue Uffie had gotten to, wonder no further. She just popped up recently in this cool editorial for Reebok. Is it just us or has Reebok achieved a measure of understated cool, particularly retro styles like these. By the way, these images come from Vice Magazine’s recently launched fashion site vicestyle.com. Check it out.

Michael is a very talented TV Producer that I’m currently working with who has a shared love of sneakers. These great Puma GV Special Hot Pick kicks are among his favourites, and were picked up at the iconic A Life Rivington store when he visited New York a couple of years ago. The GV name represents Guillermo Vilas, a legendary Argentinian tennis player, the first South American male player to reach a Grand Slam event, and in his honour Puma have released a few incarnations of this shoe, but this is by far and away the best I have seen.
Michael tells me that he loves these shoes so much that he puts them outside overnight on a balcony after he has worn them to keep them fresh.

Does the phrase film-school project make you cringe with preemptive embarrassment? Believe me, us too. But maybe that’s all about to change. Take this amazing short by students from the school of Digital Arts and Visual Effects (or DAVE) in Orlando. It’s funny, exciting, nuanced and completely entertaining. Well done guys!

Legendary comic book publisher DC turns 75 next year which is certainly justification enough for these sweet collaborations with Converse. Featuring some of the most iconic design elements ever created, they’re the perfect way to pay your respects to your childhood heroes. We dig the laid back, retro feel, especially the faded stars of the Wonder Woman design. But don’t expect to get your hands on them anytime soon. These babies won’t be out until mid 2011.
