This week’s postcard comes from Michelle who is taking a gap year in the French capital.
Allo!
I took this photo of a random person at the Paris bar Le Pop In. It’s in the 11th District and is pretty much the funnest place to go listen to music. It’s got a basement for bands, a ground level bar for regulars (where the toilet is separated from the bar by a loose curtain) and a lounge upstairs full of sofas and armchairs. We come here a lot.
Wish you were here! Michelle xo.
If you haven’t seen Role Models yet, go see it. The director, David Wain, is a genius. Here’s a short in which he gets some tips on how to talk to women from Role Models star Paul Rudd.

When you’re hungry in L.A, you can pretty much throw a rock blindfolded and it’ll hit an amazing Mexican restaurant. Sadly in Melbourne, we’re not so lucky. While Sydney at least has Rider above the Hopetoun, or Mad Mex opposite our favourite pub The Gaslight, we’ve been lacking in the awesome Mexican food department. Until now.
Trippy Taco “Fresh Mex” Cantina serves amazingly fresh and unexpectedly healthy Mexican fare. I do have to warn you, it’s vegetarian, but speaking for a carnivore like myself, you won’t miss the meat. The food is incredible and well priced for a relaxed breakfast or lunch. Plus it’s licensed, so you can get your Corona on. You’ll need to if you, like me, enjoy getting into the hot-sauce.

Pint-sized giant killer Nate Robinson has slain Superman (Dwight Howard’s alter ego) to win his second slam dunk title. We have to admit that despite being almost half Howard’s size, Nate had a little advantage. Everyone knows that the Man of Steel is no match for…
…Krypto-Nate.
No word from Nike yet on when we can get a pair.
