The angelic and well-balanced young ladies of the Girls Longboard Crew are back in this beautiful new video. This time, the girls tackle a meandering mountain path, weaving and power-sliding their way through some of the most picturesque forest we’ve seen since Lord Of The Rings. Watching this definitely makes us feel old, worry-worn and rut-stuck by comparison.

It’s been a tiring few weeks as I Dig Your Sole Man has been travelling between Singapore and Sydney with some great sneaker finds. Here are some of my favourite shots and trainer related stories from the past couple of weeks.

First up is a street shot from Singapore of some classic Men’s trainers. As you can see, this sneaker lover has been loving his Converse Jack Purcell’s for a while, and despite the dirt and wear some classic trainer styling still shines through.

A classic UK trainer brand, New Balance are having something of a resurgence in Australia. Last week saw the brand throw a party as part of their excellent ‘Journey’ advertising campaign and the event brought out plenty of colourful people, and interesting kicks.

Spotted randomly in Singapore were these close friends with a close tastes in trainers – actually make that an IDENTICAL taste in sneakers. I wonder if they’d realised that they had the same shoes on?

We’ve loved these things ever since high-school, which is why looking at them always gives us a tinge of nostalgic jealousy. Here’s a new short film they’ve made with BMX impresario Nigel Sylvester. Man, New York is looking good!

How boring is computer animation? It’s the worst, right? We haven’t asked him, but artist Nicos Livesey (great name btw) would probably agree. And even if he didn’t, these works made by rolling heaps of different colours of plasticine into a hyper colour log and shaving the end off bit by bit, would definitely help prove our point.
