NBA Basketball is back and so is all the slick, high production value marketing that goes along with it. We aren’t complaining. Seeing videos like these take us back to a time when Michael Jordan not only ruled the air but the airwaves as well. Back when Sir Charles was battling Godzilla and Larry Johnson’s Grandmama was throwing down over every on crazy enough to get in her way. This may not be as epic as all that but it’s still pretty cool.

When you think of basketball, Paris doesn’t exactly spring to mind naturally. Even so, with a handful of French players in the NBA and the fact that the national team has just qualified for next year’s Olympic games, hoops is riding high in the city of lights. This film by documentary maker Wu Yue takes a look at Parisian basketball. Beautiful shots beautiful shot.

Today is fly-day, hahaha. Well, sure, that’s not that funny but it’s been a tough week. Never minding all of that, check out Espen Fadnes, the world’s fastest human being, as he plunges into this stunning Norwegian gorge. Pretty epic stuff.

In a weird way, it must be tough being LeBron James. He’s the best player in basketball and yet, kind of a laughing stock as well. Then there’s this video in which he gets ripped and dunked on by a young Taiwanese dude. To be fair, he obviously wasn’t playing to win (it was a demonstration game featuring kids as young as ten) but that won’t stop people having a crack at him. Best joke so far: “Must have been the fourth quarter.”
