The Made in U.K New Balance 670 is probably the most technical yet un-engineered design in the New Balance running archive. Whether it be due to its simplest form being a standard suede and mesh upper with similar overlay structure to that of a 574 or 576, the 670 was intended to pack a lot more in its design compared to the other models in the catalogue. A premium difference amongst the similar runners of the day and the 670 was the midsole. The C-CAPĀ® midsole made its debut on the 670 and introduced Compression-molded EVA for superior midsole cushioning and flexibility. It would be the successor to the ENCAP system as the PU out-rigging of the latter was replaced with the better performing, more flexible C-CAPĀ® foam. However, to counter any loss of cushioning , a thin layer of soft EVA foam was inserted in the rear, under the heel cap of every 670. Pardon the exercise in nerdery, but you see what we mean by a very technical runner. Also, we can't completely undersell the upper as un-engineered either, as it's toe wrap piece would provide more mid-foot support than its predecessors.

As far as heritage running goes, the 670 is typical in its reverence to the classic New Balance silhouette. As a stalwart model of the Made In U.K, Flimby factory program, the same pillars of craftsmanship & quality are instilled in these latest iterations of the classic. Sourcing rich suedes from the finest tanneries in Europe, made in a shoemakin' town that's been manufacturing for over 32 years, the Made in U.K M670 is the epitome of New Balance heritage and providence.
