It's hard not to imagine Paul Hogan in a pair of these, after all it looks like this classic Nike high-top has come straight from the territory - with lines like, "Thats not a shoe, this is a shoe" and associated mirages abundant on first look-see. The 'Dunkdee' tag is most appropriate, as the reptile print and lace jewel detailing echoes croc leather vests and crocodile teeth on an Akubra respectively. Surely Mr Hogan has got his hands on these.

Yet, what is perhaps most discerning from this rendition of classic Nike basketballing DNA, is the level of details, not only in the exotic materials, but the technical features that have been inserted into this shoe, giving PREMIUM a whole new level of attainability while sporting some neck-breaking aesthetics. The shoe takes alot of design innovation and tech from the advances made in the Dunk silhouette over in the Skate Boarding (Nike SB) department. In delivering the Comfort label, the Dunkdee posses a slimmer, phylon injected sole unit, with familiar dunk tread, spaced with portions of exposed phylon. Similarly, the sole unit possess a Zoom air unit in the heel and an OrthoLiteĀ® sockliner. It's all comfort and it's rarely seen all at once on the Dunk, making the Comfort Premium range from Nike Sportswear a real superior entry to the contemporary Nike catalogue.

To compliment all this tech and innovation, you need an exotic aesthetic to break in this catalogue feature with a real difference and the reptile (borderline probable python effect leather based on the latest offering on NikeID) certainly delivers. Of course the extras build on the premium tag and along with a silver swoosh with serrated detailing, the Dunkdee also includes bespoke lace jewels and stitching on the toe box. Meanwhile the vintage, distressed leather (something we haven't seen since the Nike Dunk SB's of a decade ago) is another premium touch.

We could go on, however the more we look, write and read about this shoe, the more we want to get our foot inside the OrthoLiteĀ® sockliner and rock them out for some serious neck breaking. Be right back.
