Personally I swallow my gum. It freaks people out, they’re always telling me about it sitting in my guts for years, festering away crying out to finally be digested. But what else am I going to do? Walk the two metres to a bin? I’m not an animal! And spitting it on the ground is even more deplorable. Or so I thought. Ben Wilson is a UK artist who wanders around painting discarded gum chunks, turning them into mini visual treats before they become those black blobs.

His work is fun and eye catching, reminiscent of Keith Haring and Ken Done. Not too shabby considering it was wedged in peoples molars only moments before. Although keep in mind, unless you live walking distance from his front door, your best bet is still to bin it.
