Since its original launch in 1984, adidas Originals’ ZX series has been at the cutting edge of running shoe design, combining a forward-thinking aesthetic with the very best tech to create contemporary responses to the needs of athletes.

Now, adidas Originals continues that story, welding the distinctive language of the ZX series with another groundbreaking chapter in 3-Stripes history to create ZX 2K Boost silhouette.

As the names suggest, the ZX 2K Boost fuses elements of the ZX series with Boost™ technology to create a new expression of the series original ethos. The aggressive, hyper-modern ZX style is front and center, bolstered by unexpected technical details that push the series ever further into the future.

The ZX 2K Boost, takes its lead from the more layered designs of later ZX models such as the iconic ZX 00 Series, especially ZX 710. The shoe’s upper is made from an engineered mesh, treated with welded overlays and a tongue-free ‘step-in’ construction which ensures a comfortable ankle fit.

The shoe’s jagged design combines with a more technical lacing system to create a true statement silhouette, while the use of a full-length Boost™ midsole, while a semi-translucent TPU clip in the heel with graphic details completes the design. Like its low-top counterpart, the ZX Fuse Boost releases in Solar Yellow/Hi-Res Red and Purple Tint/Maroon colorways, with a gradient effect running the shoe’s length.

The ZX 2K Boost launches at Hype DC on May 31st.
