When the ASICS Tiger Kayano Trainer was first introduced in 1993, it was executed in the latest technical and material advancements the Japanese footwear manufacturer could muster at the time. For the un-initiated, the Kayano Trainer was built upon the need to achieve comfort and durability with a central theme of durability. With the high mileage road runner in mind, the ASCIS corp. went to work on delivering GEL Kayano series that has produced numerous installments over the past two decades. Now, almost 22 years later, ASICS have refined and re-delivered the Kayano Trainer for a new breed of runner. Appealing to the discerning customer, the EVO edition introduces a reductionist look supplanted with signature Kayano traits. The mesh one-piece upper, with reinforced webbing under-sheath, integrates a heat-bonded Tiger Stripe cage. The Kayano's heel unit and counter are installed on the rear while the classic GEL midsole remains. The neoprene collar is updated with a similar cut, as seen on the Gel Lyte V, providing a lock-in fit as well as a contrasting element to the sleek silhouette, The EVO launches with 3 colourways exclusive in Australia to Hype DC shelves and available now.
