When the Air Max 95 dropped over two decades ago, it's no surprise that it was divisive - with its downsized swoosh, wavy paneled upper and hyperactive hits of neon yellow, the 95 looked miles apart from its Air Max predecessors. Despite its unorthodox approach to design, Sergio Lozano's creation picked up cult status with forward-thinking fashionistas in Japan, as well as grime-heavy gigs in the UK, where it was nicknamed the '110' due to its premium price tag. In the 2000s, high-profile 95 shoutout’s from hip-hop staples like The Game and Gucci Mane furthered the sneaker's subcultural clout, and today, the 95 has remained a thrilling mainstay of the Air Max line.

With its other-worldly aesthetic, it's no wonder that the 95 has been teamed with the wonderfully alien Vapormax sole. First emerging on Air Max Day 2017, the Vapormax bubble has already been incorporated into some of Beaverton's most coveted models including the Air Max 97 and Air Max Plus, and it seemed like only a matter of time before the 95 received the same treatment. The Vapormax 95 retains the classic 95 upper in full: Lace loops with a healthy nod to the OG neon colourway, gradient grey panels and a 3M column on the heel. Down below, they've dismissed the usual seven-bubble structure and replaced it with the game-changing single Vapormax unit. It's completely blacked-out, besides some electric accents that again reference the 95 in its notorious neon form.

Two game-changing sneakers from different eras, united in the Vapormax 95.
