People run for a listless amount of reasons. Codified by contemporary fitness regimes and pursuits, the 'Jogging' roots in Nike sportswear reveals a time where running was a means of social interaction. The nature of 'Jogging' was a breakthrough in suiting up and exercising in the great outdoors with like-minded individuals. Clad with a Futura Logo and Swoosh Windrunner, Nike graduated to a full complement of sportswear necessities in the early to mid seventies. Enter the Cortez. The heritage Swoosh runner which was initially championed on the track and field by one of Nike's first sponsored athletes, Steve Prefontaine, returns as if it just stepped off the Jogging track. Complete with vintage tooling and detailing, the women's Cortez '72 is constructed of an unlined leather upper, heel tab and foam tongue with a Comet Red vintage cut Swoosh. Underscored by the Cortez's signature bi-density wedge midsole in Royal Blue with vintage toe-cap detailing, a herringbone rubber tread recalls the hallmarks of Bill Bowerman's design. Once a mainstay on the track, the latest Cortez maintains the legacy of the Swoosh on the streets of today.

The Women's Cortez '72 OG will be priced at $169.95 AUD | Size: Women's US 6-10
