As Nike continues to pave the future with innovation, their latest DNA CH.1 Pack takes a page from the history books to create a hybrid never seen before. This season Team Swoosh have swapped quintessential colourways on two Tinker Hatfield originals – the Air Max 1 and Air Huarache.

Worn by the likes of Seinfeld to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, the Huarache’s “Scream Green” colourway is one of the most recognisable palettes in sneaker culture. This time, the colourists at Nike have applied the iconic colourway across the Air Max 1 silhouette to create a nostalgic-yet-refreshing take on the classic runner. Crafted with premium leather, a neoprene tongue, additional lace eyelets and raised branding on the heel, this Air Max tribute to the feet-hugging Huarache is a must have for Nike fans.

Inspired by both the colours and construction of France’s Pompidou Centre, the Air Max 1 “Sport Red” was revolutionary for sneaker design when it came out in 1987. The updated “University Red” AM1 hue looks just as striking applied across the Air Huarache in the DNA CH.1 collection. For the first time ever we see the Air Huarache built with a white mesh toe box and supple suede overlays across the mudguards and midfoot.

Both silhouettes will be available this Thursday from the following stores:
